Foodbank Recipe 3 Tuna Pasta No Bake!

TUNA PASTA “NO” BAKE
 
Ingredients- makes 3 to 4 portions
1onion
1pepper– (green, orange or yellow)
2 clovesgarlic
stock cube
1 teaspoon mixed herbs
1 tin tuna
1 tin tomatoes
2 mugs ofpastaeg. Fusilli, penne, farfalle,
Method
Add the pasta to boiling water in a saucepan and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
Peel onion and discard outer layers. Chop into small pieces.
Chop pepper removing the core, seeds and stalk.
Fry these gently in a frying pan with some oil or butter.
After 5 minutes add the peeled and chopped garlic and also the mixed herbs. Cook for another minute and then sprinkle the stock cube into the frying pan. 
Drain the tuna of brine or oil and add into the pan. Stir and cook for a minute and then add the tomatoes. Add a lid if you have one and cook for a further 2 or 3 minutes.
Drain the cooked pasta and add into the frying pan with the sauce and stir well until all mixed together. Season with pepper.
Serve immediately with some green veg and a little grated cheese if you like.
Store any leftovers in an airtight bag or container and it will keep in the fridge for 2 days.
